Artery Health Home Test Kit
Assess artery health and your risk from hardening or furring of the arteries
You can feel completely fine and still have early changes in your arteries. Atherosclerosis often develops silently, so relying on symptoms can leave you guessing.
The Artery Health test includes the PLAC® test, which measures Lp-PLA2, an enzyme linked to inflammation in the coronary artery walls. Higher levels are associated with atherosclerosis and a higher risk of heart disease and stroke.
If you want a clearer, evidence-based view of artery inflammation to interpret alongside established factors such as cholesterol, this test can help you take the next step with more confidence.

What the Artery Health test is for
The PLAC test measures the amount of the enzyme Lp-PLA2, which is associated with causing inflammation of coronary artery walls.
Atherosclerosis doesn't tend to have any symptoms at first, but can lead to to life-threatening problems such as coronary heart disease, angina, heart attacks and strokes as well as other cardiovascular diseases such as peripheral vascular disease and chronic kidney disease.
The good news is that the condition is largely preventable with a healthy lifestyle, and the risk of serious problems can be reduced with treatment.
It's recommended that you also perform lipid profile (Healthier Heart) tests to get a more complete picture as the different risk factors can all contribute independently.

The PLAC® test measures levels of the enzyme lipoprotein phospholipase. This enzyme indicates the possibility of plaque accumulation, a substance that accumulates inside your arteries causing them to harden and narrow.
Plaques make it hard for the heart to pump blood, restricting the blood flow and oxygen supply to vital organs. This increases the risk of blood clots known as thrombosis. These can block the flow of blood to the heart or brain.
