Testosterone and Estrogen Levels Assessment, with a liver function test
Hormone treatment can make it hard to know what to trust: how you feel, or what your blood results might show. Symptoms are often non-specific, and without clear data it is easy to second-guess your plan.
This test measures testosterone and oestrogen (estradiol) alongside a liver function profile, giving a grounded view of hormone levels and whether liver markers are within expected ranges while on treatment. Your results are designed to support a more informed conversation with your prescriber, with clear next steps where needed.
If you want reassurance based on numbers rather than guesswork, this test offers a straightforward way to check in and stay in control.

What the GenderGP Hormones & Liver test is for
Hormone therapy can make it difficult to separate day to day symptoms from what is actually happening biologically. Energy, mood, sleep and body changes can fluctuate for many reasons, and without recent numbers it is easy to second-guess dosing, timing, or whether a new symptom is related to treatment at all. This home blood test provides a clear checkpoint you can use as part of ongoing care, with results that support a more informed conversation with your prescriber.
The panel measures testosterone and oestrogen (estradiol) alongside a liver function profile. Hormone results help you understand whether levels appear broadly in line with your current treatment plan, rather than relying on how you feel alone. The liver markers give additional context because the liver plays a central role in processing many medicines and in wider metabolic health. Looking at these areas together can highlight patterns that may be worth following up, even when symptoms are non-specific.
This home test kit supports testing from home, built to fit around real life while still providing clinically relevant information. It is commonly used in the care of trans patients and others using gender-affirming hormone therapy who want grounded data to guide shared decisions, track trends over time, and decide when it may be sensible to adjust monitoring frequency or discuss next steps with a clinician.

Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT) is an enzyme mainly found in your liver. ALT is used by your body to break down food into energy, with levels in the blood normally low.
Following liver damage, the levels of ALT in your blood will rise making it a useful means to indicate liver problems.
Fluctuation of ALT levels is normal over the course of the day, and can also increase in response to strenuous physical exercise.
