Does A Positive Test Mean I'm Immune To Coronavirus?
Until this is proven for certain it should be assumed that a positive result is not an indicator of immunity.
Research is still ongoing regarding this. It is anticipated that antibodies may confer some degree of immunity to the virus. But it is not clear by how much, or how long this might last.
If you've had a positive result you may also still be contagious. So it is important to continue to follow government guidelines regarding social distancing and other preventative measures.
Nevertheless, a positive result may give you peace of mind that your body has coped with a COVID-19 infection previously, presumably without requiring hospitalisation or ventilation.
